I'd like you to meet our little son. He was born at 12:42am on Monday, weighing in at 7lbs 5 oz (my biggest), and measuring 20 inches long.
As my sister announced, we named him Walter Levi. When we first found out he was a boy, we were going to call him Caleb, but talking late one night, we decided to honour both of our Grandpas instead. Mine has gone to be with the Lord already so he won't get to enjoy the sentiment. I didn't want that to be the case with Josh's as well.
Levi is a name I've always loved. It means 'unity' which is something I so long for within the body of Christ.
I'll try to post more snaps and his birth story tomorrow.

I bet you are getting more help that you can stand. hehe
And when you really need/want help the newness will have worn off. I think it was Jesse that Ashley Hope or Rachel asked, "When are we going to send him back?"

ReplyDeleteOhhhhh!!!!! What a little hunny!!!I've been so anxious to see/meet him!! He does have a ton of hair! So cute! He almost looks chubbier than Mitchum did at birth even though Mitch was 8.8, maybe b/c he was 21"??? So are you going to call him Walter/Walt or Levi? I sure hope you are getting lots of rest and quietness to yourself! I always draw back after having a baby. I guess I feel like everything has to be totally under control before we "venture" to other things and ppl. I'm sure Joshy, Emmy, and Addie are lovin' him lots! So a big Congrats to you and Josh! ReplyDeleteNice pictures, he has beautiful lips....he reminds me much of your Uncle Dave...course I was 5 years old at his birth but do remember what a beautiful baby he was...just what any quy wants to be called Beautiful or Cute..
I did call the birthing centre on the day you left...I was sad to have missed another chance to talk with you..but very glad you could go home and rest on your own bed..
