More to come

She's 11 days old already! How did the time go by so quickly? I've been anxious to get more photos of her while she's still sleepy and squishy. Typically, you have about 2 weeks until you can't move them around without waking them, so I roped Josh into a mini session this afternoon. I was hoping for a good hour and a half, but Joshy and Em woke up after 45 minutes. Wouldn't you know it! Anyway, here's a little sneak peek. The flower is off of a plant that my dear mother in law gave me while I was in the hospital. :)

He loves her to bits

A conversation from our first day home:

Joshy (looking at Adeline): "Ooooh! Hi dare, big fella!"

Me: "Joshy, she's a little girl."

Joshy: "Hi dare, litt-o fella!"

Me: "Fella is a word for a boy, Joshy. Can you think of something sweet and girlie?"

Joshy: " Hi dare, Sweet Banana!"

Never a dull moment. :) Today he held her for a bit while I was putting away the mountains of laundry that had seemingly reproduced overnight. He was as happy as a pig in mud. I slipped up and called her "Punkins" as I was lifting her out of his arms, and he was quick to remind me that punkins is Emmy's name. "Ado-wine is our litt-o pwecious Sweet Banana."

Bright spot

Lo, children are an heritage from the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3

It's been a rough week but God, who's mercies never fail, has brought us through it. I'd like you to meet our little Adeline Claire. :)

Maybe?

I'm having contractions right on top of each other so I'm going in. Please keep us in prayer.

My own cowpoke wearing the hat my mom gave me when I was 15. Some days he's a REAL cowboy and makes it a point to inform me that he will be sleeping with his eyes open at rest time because that's what REAL cowboys do.

I can't remember if I posted this awhile back. They had so much fun that day and surprisingly didn't fight too much. :D Maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder? Posted by Picasa

Quick update

The consultation went well. The baby doesn't seem to be wrapped in her cord and she's got her head tucked down already so she's a good candidate for turning. He reassured us that he won't force her to turn and that if she doesn't turn (or later turns back), he won't push a scheduled c-section because he likes to give babies as much time as possible to turn on their own. So we set up an appointment for early next week.

Thanks for keeping us in prayer!

We've both grown. :D Posted by Picasa
37 weeks - Just a little update: the baby is still breech and not at all inclined to flip around. I'm going in tomorrow to talk to the doc about an evc, but I'm not really sure what to do. I would sure appreciate your prayers. Posted by Picasa

I typically shy away from family sessions but I would do a lot more of them if they could all be as easy-going and fun as these guys were.  Posted by Picasa
