"Deew Jessus, amen."

I don't usually post in the morning, but my girl who will be two tomorrow just prayed this prayer all on her own over breakfast. I love to hear them pray. There is no pretense or rehearsal, their words are straight from the heart. Sometimes, it's hard not to bust up laughing though, like when Joshy prayed:

"... and please--could you please, Lord Jesus, give us clothes so we don't haff to wear our bare bums to Wah-mart?"

or one that Greg related to me from a prayer he made while having family worship at their house:

"... and hewp us not to say bad words like 'stupid' and 'fart'."

If you've got an opinion, I'd love to hear it

Ok, so I'm finally getting product samples together and I want to order some mongo canvases to show my clients. Since it's really hard for me to seperate myself from the technical aspects, I wonder if I could get your thoughts as to which ones would make you go "ooo", if any. Hopefully, these will behave themselves and load properly, but if one or two look like they're oriented the wrong way, cock your head to the side and have a good look-see from that angle. As you can see, they're all of Adeline and that's because I'll be specializing in newborns. She's the only baby I've taken pictures of with my new camera so, besides the fact that I think she's perfectly adorable, these are also the only files big enough to make the sizes I want. Now, if you can spare a minute to pick two, can you also tell me why you prefer them? Thanks!

I need one vertical and one horizontal. Here are your options for horizontal:

And vertical:

I'm a model, you know what I mean...

In case you haven't heard, Tam and Jode finally have their boys line up at www.scarletstitch.com . The model was reluctant, but he did well and was rewarded with his very own pair of "tuspenders". He lives in them now. He even wants to wear them with his jams. haha

I took a bunch of pics of their slings too. This is my favourite. Emmy's still such a cuddlebun.

Just so we're clear

There has been speculation that I made my blog private due to a wish to safeguard myself from the charge of familiar fellowship. That was not the case at all and I don't wish anyone to think that's the reason, so if you hear that rumor ( or if you started or passed it on yourself), please offer correction. I don't believe that viewing one another's blogs is the same as familiar fellowship.

There are a few reasons that I've gone underground, a couple of which are:

1. I'm going to, Lord willing, be taking on photography clients in the near future and I would rather that they not have free access to this blog.

2. I'd like to feel free to post underexposed, badly lit, out of focus snapshots if I want to without the worry that it will reflect badly on my "work". Believe it or not, good photography takes a few brain cells and sometimes I'd just like to let myself go and shoot for the love of say a delightfully messy face looking up at me in *gasp* fluorescent light.

To those of you who have recently split off from the church, I love each of you dearly and I'm grieved so much that there is a divide between us. I know you understand that I cannot keep you close to me in the old comfortable way, though I wish I could. To "agree to disagree" and chit chat away as if nothing has happened would be a dishonour to the Lord who is the God of all truth. Having said that, if you'd like to talk with me about the issues that are between us, please email me rather than posting your thoughts here. This blog is my way to give little updates to loved ones, not a platform for a potentially heated debate. If you cannot respect that, I will have to remove you from the list.

Lastly, I know this privacy thing came without warning. I updated to the new blogger and the option was there so I took it, not thinking about what a can of worms I might open. I don't have very many current email addresses and I really can't take the time to track every possible lurker down, so please spread the word that previous visitors may email me and request an invitation.

Thanks.

P.S. A quick word about privacy. Please exercise integrity and refrain from quoting me in whole or in part anywhere online; not even in a private email exchange, and always ask before you take a photo.

I was going to post more tonight, but for some reason, my photos keep turning 90 degrees when I try to post them on the web. If you've got any idea how to stop that, I'd love to hear it. :D

7 Weeks

I've been wanting to get some shots with Adeline for several weeks, but the only time I can do it is when the other two are napping and by that time I'm usually too wiped out myself to make the effort. She's almost 7 weeks old and over 10lbs already, so on Saturday,I decided it was now or never; scraggle taggle gypsy hair, no make-up and all. I don't have a remote, so I focused on a lamp, set the timer, scurried to the spot, removed the lamp, and tried to act natural. Ha! Alot of them came out soft, but I'm glad I did it anyway.

"This is so embarrassing, Momma."

Her paci is never far.

And you've heard of Calamity Jane, but how about Calamity Em? She's the orneriest little accident waiting to happen in the East.
