What do you use to organize & catalog your pictures? I've tried Photoshop Album 2 and it seems pretty slick, but I can't justify the price yet. :) Maybe when I splurge for a Digital SLR, I will. Anything you've tried that works well?
ReplyDeleteOoh. Digital SLR. Wahn dat! What kind are you looking at? I have a program that came with my camera, but I use Picasa 2 more because it's easier to access everything. Sorry I'm no help!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was looking at Picasa too...the immediate drawback I saw with that was the Label system it has, is clunky compared to Photoshop Album's tags. (http://searchenginewatch.com/searchday/article.php/3460061 ) for details. It's free though, so that's always a plus.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really actively looking for a camera right now...my tastes are more pricey than my pocketbook can afford, but if I was buying one now, I'd definitely go with the Olympus E-300. It's got lots of interesting lenses and attachments. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Olympus/oly_e300.asp
Which reminds me...do you have any filters or lens attachments for your camera? There's lots around.
Nope, I don't. I've had my eye on a few things but I'd rather put the money into something faster that takes better shots indoors. That's my biggest beef with my Sony. If I don't end up getting something better in the next couple of years, I will at least get a polarizer and a mounted flash. I have a feeling the flash would make a big difference indoors because I could bounce it off of things instead of blinding people.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at a Canon 20D or Nikon D70. The Nikon's a little cheaper, but it doesn't have some of the features that the 20D does. I hadn't heard of the O E-300. I'll check that out. :)
What a gorgeous little girl. She looks just like her lovely mommy. :)
ReplyDelete~~Irene
Yeah, the 20D is one that a lot of people benchmark against. Some comparing the two said the E-300 is very similar in features/quality, but not quite the same price. :)
ReplyDeleteI was fondling a E-300 in Future Shop today...hehe.
My bet is Maggie will look like this when she grows up.
ReplyDeleteWho is her mama?
I always see lots of Maggie shots and don't know who she belongs to!
S.
She belongs to Eric and Alison. I believe you helped to make a quilt for them several years ago.
