It's 12:30 PM here, so its officially my dad's birthday. This is the last picture I ever got of him (thank-you for taking it, Honey). He was in so much pain that he could barely stand up there for the minute it took to take this and yet he still tried to smile for us. I told him it would be ok if we skipped it, but he really wanted to get one of all of us. He would have been 50 today. How I miss him!  Posted by Picasa

  1. What a special tribute to your Dad, on what would have been his 50th birthday. That picture is a treasure. May God continue to give you comfort in your loss....Ginny

  2. My thoughts are with you and your family. Abba is truly our comfort and the healer of our sorrows. May Adonai continue to be your comfort and strength.

  4. Hey Amanda....found your link through other blogs linked to other blogs... you know how it goes :) I'm not sure of the appropriate sentiments to tell you on this special day but I did want to let you know that my heart aches for you knowing that the pain is still there. I also rejoice with you as I know you have that comfort and peace beyond understanding and that hope for a future of shared eternity. Praise the LORD for His salvation and faithfulness. Praise Him for the joy we can have in knowing that our loved ones who have died are already sharing in His glory!

I'm sorry I haven't chatted with you all recently and hope we can find a chance to talk soon! I'm loving all the pictures of your family. Joshy is really getting big and Em is absolutely GORGEOUS!

    Love,
    Stacy Walker
