Shortcake, anyone?
In an effort to kill two birds with one stone, I'm going to try blogging from flickr. I liked using hello, but it doesn't work the same way anymore.

Scarlet Stitch
Tammy and Jody have been busy coming up with some sweet new designs for their Summer sale. I wish I could do them justice, but the creative side of my brain is afraid of my children. When I have all of them milling about, hanging off of me, or otherwise in close proximity, it simply cannot function and lays down for a nap instead of being helpful. All of that to say, sorry girls! :)
I always get a fair share of outtakes too. This is my fav. Going on vacation? No, just out to the boonies to take pictures. Diaper bag? Check. Camera backpack? Check. Purse? (can't leave it in the car) Check. Duffle bag full of hats and bloomers? Check. Suitcase full of dresses? Check. Children? In style! Check. Hot sun? Check. Black flies? Check, check.
We seriously need to pack lighter next time.

Some from Joshy's birthday
We still haven't officially celebrated yet because he wanted to wait until his MomMom is better, but Shawn and Tam brought over a bag full of cowboy and "miwitary" guy loot. He is set. For life.
These are his favs:
The guns. No self-respecting cowboy can be without them.
The "binoquee-ers". Sometimes they are just plain binoculars, but they often double as his rifle scope or camera. "Smmii-ole!"
Not to be left out, Em donned her bonnet and sheriff badge and gave Ann a quick cooking lesson. They made some excellent "chocwitt chwips" for our dinner that night.
Our brave defender on the lookout for bad guys.
Auntie Belinda sent a really cool game book and some stickers. Joshy set right to work on his four year old self portrait (I helped him with the hat). If you look closely, you can see that he's wearing chaps. And a cowboy belt.

One of my favourites
My Uncle Jamie has beautifully arranged Psalm 133 on his 'Ascending' CD (scroll down the page for a sample). It brings me to tears every time I hear it.
Psa 133:1
¶
[[A Song of degrees of David.]] Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2
[It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, [even] Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
Psa 133:3
As the dew of Hermon, [and as the dew] that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, [even] life for evermore.

Sthummer
I love that Joshy's got it all figured out.
"Sthummer is when God pickth up all of the leaveth off the ground and glueth them back onto the treeth!"
Kathryn, Joshy had Matthew on speaker the other day so I heard a part of their conversation. They were comparing their cowboy gear and Joshy asked Matt if he had a cowboy belt. When Matthew replied that his had broken, Joshy offered to loan him one of his. He said:
"Maybe one of thethe dayth I can fly on a big jet to your houthe and bring you one of my cowboy beltth to uthe."
"Oh yes! You can just fly here - and then you take a right and you're in St. Louis!"

Too many photos
I have many to post, but I wanted to get the www.scarletstitch.com ones done first. I'm going to bed, but I had to show you these because she's too stinkin' cute. :)

Privacy
Perhaps I'm not as efficient with my time as I could or should be, but presently, because I can't put my whole heart into both a business and my duties (privileges?) as a wife and mother, I'm shelving my photography business again. That decided, there's no reason to keep it private now. Hooray for not having to login!
