1. Praise God, we have a van! It's wonderful to have more room.
2. Please keep Emmy in prayer. It's a good possibility that she's contracted Lyme disease from a tick bite. Her body is covered in bull's eye rashes. She'll be on antibiotics for three weeks and then we'll see. She is a trooper and swallows her capsules down no problem. She can't have the chewables or liquid because of her sensitivity to corn. We've got her on probiotics and yogurt to replace the good flora, no worries. They want to do a blood test next week to determine whether or not there are antibodies present in her system. She was sick for a couple of days with a fever and headache, but other than the rashes, she's all back to her normal self.
3. Sorry for the onslaught of photos. I get carried away.
4. I'm up late baking. We still have the cable running into the house, so I hooked up the laptop to keep me awake so I don't burn the house down. I can't believe I used to stay up this late routinely.
5. I feel quite disconnected from my online world now. I suppose it's good and bad.

She's been pulling herself up on everything for the past couple of weeks. Minor head contusions abound. :)

When we stopped to look at the pram, my son made a beeline for this sad-looking thing which was also in the free pile. It's half duct tape and in dire need of hair implants, but it kept them busy for three afternoons straight. Totally worth it.

Miss Kitty
My Emmy girl is getting to be a much more co-operative model. This sweet dress is from the girls at www.scarletstitch.com (but of course! :)). As you can see, they've made their designs versitile enough to be worn through cooler seasons as well. I think this one would look really cute with knee socks and maybe even a belt for the trendy retro look.

Not quite a pony
We took a long drive south for a county fair because their website advertised pony rides and we knew the kids would love that. As it turned out, there was nary a horse to be found on the entire grounds. Wha??? It was quite the let down. They enjoyed riding the bikes though, don't let the face fool ya. He's all business when he's taking on the world.

Jig
We had a fun little session for Scarlet Stitch this evening. The weather was fine and my girl was uncommonly pleased with the whole modeling idea.
