This little beauty's momma made this tutu for one of her other little girls. :)

Ballerina
This is sweet in color too. I just love the simple texture and tones of black and white better.
I borrowed this basket from Jen. I've been dying to use it for over a year now. I had visions of dogwood blossoms in there with her, but I didn't see an obliging tree on the way to the session. I need to summon a little more bravery and just knock on the neighbors' doors and ask. I'm afraid they'll think I'm off my rocker. :)

Cuttin' Up a Rug
Yesterday we celebrated the birthday of a dear friend. Delicious food, water fighting in bare feet, music, dancing! My girls in the kitchen with Auntie Jenni, their cousin Jackson, and Miss Angie...memories we will cherish.
I could have cloned the tag off of Lem's shorts but it is something we often see around here due to having to roll the waistband over to keep her rear end sufficiently covered. :)

"More"
My kids all love the 'Signing Time' DVD's. We've been trying to teach Walnut to sign instead of growling and hollering like a wild baby tiger. Today he showed us that he's got it and was as pleased as could be with himself when he saw that we understood. :)

At the end of a full day...
a hard day for her. She had 4 hard falls today and was feeling quite out of sorts until this evening. The night air was deliciously warm and there wasn't a bug to be seen, so I let the kids stay up an extra hour and run around outside as my sisters and I loved to do as girls.
Shawn and Tam stopped to visit on their way back east. It was so good to see them and the growing baby! It's so hard to believe that Tammy is finally going to be a mom after all of this time. I know she'll be a great one. She has been the best of aunties to my kids.
Jackson, Micaiah, and Gregory surprised Joshy with a bike this afternoon. He is beside himself with glee. I'll have to get some pics tomorrow. He's been riding Emmy's around for quite some time which has given them another opportunity to learn to share, but it will be nice to see them riding together now. I just hope they can remember not to race to the road.
Here in Lewiston, spring has finally come. The trees are all in bloom and the new leaves are quickly refreshing the barren landscape. God has blessed us with so much work that we've had to stop advertising, so thank-you to all of you who have been praying for us in that regard.
As usual I had more to say when I sat down here, but I think my brain went to bed a few hours ago. G'night all.

I'm finally done proofing this session. I might share a few more.
He was such a sweet baby!
I have a couple of cards full of new photos of the kids and such around here. I love it when I'm done editing a session. No more beating myself up over compositional and lighting shortcomings. I am freed from the perfectionist within me...for a little while. :)
