My sister Tammy, one of the founders of ScarletStitch, has made the most delicious hooded cloak. I had grand visions of taking Emmy out to a nearby mountaintop to photograph it. Or a field full of spring flowers! Can you imagine? It's so beautiful.

Two of Four
I'm hoping to get one of all 4 of them today. You will notice that Joshy is missing yet another tooth. I love this age! So comical.
Just a reminder, my favourite children's clothing www.scarletstitch.com is all on sale until February 10. I'm not sure what they have left because they've had a few glitches with their site, but you may want to drop them a line even if the item you're interested in says they're out of stock.

Looking very my age (30 for the curious)
Lately I feel age creeping up on me. I know what "fine lines" are now by experience. Time is speeding up. Someday soon I'll look in the mirror and won't recognize myself anymore.
I'm a little afraid of it, but I don't want to get caught up trying to "youngify" myself. Youth fades. At the end of the day, the outward means absolutely nothing. Proverbs 31:30.
Also...why do I tilt my head so much? No wonder my neck is sore. :P

Solo
I usually throw him in with Joshy but he was off helping Daddy put the bunkbed together when it was bath time, so Walnut had the tub to himself. He lives for baths.
I'll add some new ones of the rest of the kiddos soon.
"Whatcha doin' up there, Mama?"
He looks very like his older brother in this one. Their eyes are similar.
crawling backward 7 months
Walnut has become a traveling man. His primary mode of transportation is rolling everywhere, but he's starting to get the hang of this crawling business...only backwards. :)

Massive SALE!
50% or more off of everything at www.scarletstitch.com !
As many of you know, scarletstitch is a grass roots company, founded by two of my younger sisters and I've had the pleasure of being the photographer for their site since this fella (my eldest son) was three years old.
Due to an ill-advised law that takes effect February 10, 2009, and they must sell all inventory before that date. The new law, as it currently stands, states that all sales of products geared towards children 12 & younger must be tested for lead and certified. If it is not tested and certified, it is illegal to sell it. This testing is too costly for scarletstitch to pursue at this time. It's such a shame after all of the work that has gone into designing their clothing line.
Many companies and people are voicing their cries against this ridiculous law, hopefully it will result in its overturning. If, in the event that they cannot resume producing children's clothing, the new owners are considering other options such as clothing for teenagers or adults. Bookmark their site to stay posted.
