'You Can Teeth' - Lesson 1

If you're going to be a grumpy punk and survive, it's imperative to look irresistably cute. Sorry it's been so long again. We're doing fine, no worries. I had planned to write a decent update tonight, but I'm starting to nod off here so it'll have to wait.

Sore Froat

Joshy had a scratchy throat tonight. I hope it's just from all of the wild, chimp-like yelling he did at Tam's today. We don't usually have cough drops around, but Ann had some left-overs from her last bout so Josh gave him one at bedtime. I'm pretty sure it's the first time he's ever one.

Joshy whispering from inside his room: "Dad? Daaad?"

Josh: "What is it, bud?"

Joshy: "You didn't know it, but there was CANDY in that cough drop. It tasted very good to me."

Josh: "Do you need another drink, son?"

Joshy: "What did you say? Do I need another cough drop?"

A conversation from a couple of weeks ago:

Me: "Oooh, coffee! It's done. I need some."

Emmy: "Mama? May I pwease hab some supitoot?"

Me: "Eh?"

Emmy: "Pwease may I hab some supitoot? SUP-EEE-TOOT?

Me: "Supitoot. Hmm. I'm sorry, love, I have no idea what you're saying."

Emmy: "SUP-EEEEEEE-TOOT. To dwink. In my cup?"

At this point I finally figured out that she was referring to Roma. My coffee substitute. SUB-STI-TUTE. :)

Sorry for the lack of photos. I'm tired. And lazy.

What I've been up to

For the last few months Lonna, Ann, Greg, Josh, and I have been working on getting their home ready to sell. We had simple plans in the beginning but along the way we discovered more ways to make the house shine. Making houses shine = long work days, and lots of them. There are still a few things left to be done, but what a blessing it is to be nearly at the end of it! I took some photos for the realtor to use, but there are a few of you who have been waiting to see them too, so here you go. Excuse the quality. I had to use my Sony because I don't have a wide angle lens for the Canon.

These first ones of the house are obviously fake. The house wasn't painted yet in September and by the time we'd finished, most of the leaves were gone.

It looks like this right now:

Master Bedroom:

Guest Room:
